‘WandaVision’ Spinoff ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ Casts Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza will join Kathryn Hahn in the upcoming Marvel Studios series “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” on Disney+, type Known from sources.

The series is a spinoff of the Marvel show “WandaVision” and Hahn will reprise the role of Agatha Harkness. Exact plot details, including the role Plaza will play in the show, are being kept under wraps. Emma Caulfield Ford will also reprise her role as Dottie from “WandaVision” in the new series, while type “Heartstopper” star Joe Rourke will also appear in “Coven of Chaos,” an exclusive report says.

As in the past, Marvel has not commented on their ongoing projects. A representative for Plaza declined to comment.

The role marks a sort of reunion for Plaza and Hahn, as both previously appeared on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, in which Plaza played April Ludgate and Hahn played politics in about a dozen episodes Strategist Jen Barkley, impressive. Currently, Plaza is starring in the second season of the HBO anthology series “White Lotus” and the FXX animated series “Little Devil.” She is best known for her roles on shows like “Parks and Recreation” and “Legion.” In feature films, she has starred in projects such as Dirty Grandpa, Ingrid Goes West and Emily the Criminal.

The plaza is represented by CAA, MGMT Entertainment and Schreck Rose.

In “WandaVision,” Hahn starts out as Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s nosy neighbor, only to discover she’s actually Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch. In the Marvel comics and series, Agatha is shown to have survived the Salem Witch Trials and was not just a rival to Wanda (aka Scarlet Witch). When audiences last saw her in the finale of “WandaVision”, Wanda used her powers to force her back into her Agnes role, trapping Agatha in Westview.

The first live-action MCU show on Disney+, “WandaVision,” garnered 23 Emmy nominations on its debut, including Hahn’s nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series. One of the show’s wins came in the Best Original Music and Lyrics category for the song “Agatha All Also,” which was used as part of revealing that Hahn’s character wasn’t who she appeared to be.
