Gusto is desperate to join Chelsea
According to Chelsea’s command, Malo Gusto will be between £30-35million and will be accepted by Lyon, reports L’Equipe.
The player, also interested in Manchester United, “absolutely wants to join Chelsea” before the window closes next week and has already agreed to a deal in six and a half years.
Discussions with Lyon are continuing, with the Ligue 1 club hoping to keep the player on loan for the rest of the season.
Chelsea did not want Ziyech to join Newcastle
Chelsea are reluctant to allow Hakim Ziyech to join Newcastle on loan.
The Morocco international is open to leaving Stamford Bridge this month and Newcastle have looked at the possibility of signing him to boost the champions’ League bid.
But Chelsea increasingly see their rival Newcastle following a revival after being taken over by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.
Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have personal friendships with members of the Newcastle team and their position on Ziyech is indicated.

Fulham’s extension of Willian’s weight
Fulham are open to renewing Willian’s contract to keep him at Craven Cottage beyond this season, writes Nizaar Kinsella.
The 34-year-old Brazilian has less than six months left in the business but is increasingly looking towards west London as he looks to expand his home and business beyond the year.
Willian joined Fulham on a free transfer last summer and was a key player in his prime under Marco Silva. He has three goals and two assists in 14 Premier League appearances.
Fulham have indicated that they are willing to give Willian a contract extension but will not start talks until the transfer window has closed, as the club prioritize new signings to strengthen their squad.

No orders yet for Fresneda
Real Valladolid are yet to accept the invitation of Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund’s Ivan Fresneda, the club have confirmed.
There have been reports in Spain of BVB closing in on the deal, but the situation is now open.
“(Fresneda) has raised the interest of many teams, but we have not received an official offer,” Real Valladolid’s player director Fran Sanchez told Diario AS.
“It is true that we have been contacted by several clubs and that the interest of several clubs is real, but it is not an official offer.
“We are not desperately looking to sell a player.”
West Ham are weighing a Tete bid
Hijacking transfers is a theme this window as West Ham are now the concern of Leicester under Tete.
The 20-year-old is on loan at Lyon from Shakhtar, and has six goals in 17 appearances this season.
Shakhtar are ready to cash in on the player, with Lyon able to turn the deal into a permanent deal for £17.5m.
Lyon would be persuaded to let his loanee go this month to join another club.
New shoes to make Porro bid today
Tottenham once again push to sign Pedro Porro, with recent talks today, and could offer players in exchange, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Tottenham will push again for Pedro Porro – they are ready to offer players to Lisbon, but they just want money,” said CaughtOffside.
“The exchange deal will not be easy, but the Spurs remain football and will push again for this business in the next 24 hours.”
He was a late substitute as Arouca beat Sporting last night.
Chelsea want more FOUR
Chelsea have already spent close to 200 million miles this month, but there are still four more deals through the door before next week’s announcement.
Along with the aforementioned Antonio Gordon, the Blues are also chasing top target Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Tottenham are chasing Pedro Porro, according to various reports.
The window is now bumper and it looks likely that it will also get a dealer at Stamford Bridge and Cobham. Under seven days to go!
