Sally Field could be a potential love interest for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback following his divorce from Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady’s former teammate Rob Gronkowski said.
The retired veteran, 33, pitched the idea to Brady, 45, after commenting on his chemistry with the 76-year-old actress in a scene on their upcoming sports comedy “80 For Brady.” .
“Tom, have you considered dating Sally Field after winning the Academy Awards?” Gronkowski said Monday on the SiriusXM podcast “Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitz Gerrard and Jim Gray” jokingly asked on the show.
“We do have a little bit of an on-camera, you know, thing happening,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion admitted.

“So, it’s been really good. We’ve really enjoyed our time together. So we’ll see where it goes from here.”
“Yeah, I know, I noticed,” Brady said with a laugh, Gronkowski said.
“You also had a great scene with Jane Fonda, kind of… I thought that was really hot,” Brady told Gronkowski.
“I knew you’d say that!” the New York native exclaimed.
“Really,” Brady said. “I was so excited to see it.
“So I think a lot of Gronk fans are going to love seeing it. And all the Jane Fonda fans here. They’re going to love seeing it.”
“Yes, they are,” Gronkowski agreed.
Gronkowski joined the podcast ahead of the Buccaneers’ playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys, which Brady’s team lost 31-14.
The two former New England Patriots teammates played themselves on “80 For Brady,” produced by Brady 199 Productions.
In the film, Field stars alongside Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno. They play four best friends and Brady superfans who travel together to Houston, Texas to watch the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 Super Bowl.
Super Bowl Lee became the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history after the Patriots won the game trailing 28-3. In addition to Brady and Gronkowski, other Patriots players also appear in the film, including retired wide receiver Julian Edelman and former wide receiver Danny Amendola.
Field expressed her excitement at meeting NFL stars for the film’s premiere at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan. 6.
During the screening, the two-time Academy Award winner told viewers she was waiting to meet the star athletes before they arrive on set for the first time.
During a panel discussion with Fonda, Moreno and Tomlin, she recalled, “I was the one who welcomed everybody,” Variety reported.
“Nobody else,” quipped Tomlin, 82. “There’s no PA there, just Sally.”
Field continued, “I was out there, ‘Hi guys! I’m glad you guys are here.’
“I want them to feel comfortable. I’m a fan and I’m there to welcome them.”
The “Forrest Gump” star was also full of praise for Brady in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the screening.
“He’s clearly a performer,” Field told The Hollywood Reporter. “He knows where to put any adrenaline he might have and how to ride it. He’s an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime athlete, and that’s really hard to be around.
“The fact that I was there, I mean, I’ve been a fan of him and watched him play — who hasn’t? He’s truly astounding, not just because of his physical skills, but because of his mental skills. He’s a chess player [on the field]”

During the panel discussion, Fonda gushed about Brady’s good looks as she described becoming a star when she met him.
“Tom Brady, I think he’s in all of our trailers alone,” she recalled during the Q&A, Variety reported. “When he finally walked into my trailer, my knees went limp.
“I had to grab something. I mean, he’s beautiful. He’s so beautiful.”
Seven-time Golden Globe winner Fonda praised Brady’s politeness, recalling: “The first time Tom came to the set to buy lunch, he was very gracious.
“It was the first time he went to each of our trailers, our dressing rooms, and he introduced himself like we didn’t know who he was.
“But, again, a real gentleman. He was gracious. I had a huge football jersey waiting for him because my nephew was a huge fan and he was very gracious. And [Tom] Written on it for him, my nephew now has it in a frame on the wall. [Tom] Just have such good manners. ”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Tomlin praised Brady’s performance.
“He’s a good actor,” she told the outlet. “He was very personable and humble.”
She described Brady’s performance in a long scene they share together in the movie.
“Just looking at his face and his eyes, watching him listen to me, and as an actor trying to give back in the same way, it feels like I’m just that. [real-life] A lady in her 80s from Boston,” said the Grace & Frankie alumnus. “In fact, when I had to do this presentation with him, I thought he Just like my son. “

While watching the veteran actresses perform on set last summer, Brady told the press he was impressed.
“We found the most amazing actresses,” said the first-time producer. “Lily, Jane, Rita and Sally. They bring it all to life. Ultimately, it’s just so cool to watch them act and perform.”
Directed by Kyle Marvin, the film also stars Billy Potter, Rob Cordly, Sarah Gilbert, Glynn Terman, Bob Balaban, Ron Fincher Smith, Jimmy O’Young, Harry Hamlin and Guy Ferry.
“80 For Brady” opens in theaters on February 3.
