WINDS DIED SIGNIFICANTLY IN THE AFTERNOON, STILL NORTHWEST WINDS, LOWERING 30 TO 35 MPH. WE ARE TRACKING THE STORM SYSTEM. THE NEXT DAYS WILL BE DRY, THURSDAY EVENING, THINGS START TO CHANGE. A major storm system will bring rain or snow to Massachusetts and New England two days before Christmas, and will have a major impact on holiday travelers. This storm covers a large geographic area from the Canadian border to the southern United States. “Bad news days before Christmas, so many airports were affected here: Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, New York and eventually Boston,” said StormTeam 5 meteorologist Michael Page.
