The cute little birds are back for a new season of adventure! This time, the flock ventured out of the backyard and into the piglets’ natural habitat.
The first season of Angry Birds Bubble Trouble premiered in 2020, inspired by the lovable characters from Rovio Entertainment Corporation’s Angry Birds Dream Blast game. This short animated series takes viewers to a magical bubble garden where the birds are free to live out their whimsical childhood adventures, away from the bird and pig mayhem that has occurred elsewhere in the Angry Birds world.
Now, the Daydream Birds are back for a second season full of fun, games, and fun adventures. This time, the flock leaves the safety of Bubble Garden and finds itself facing life in the big city. Into the heart of a bustling metropolis, the birds must learn how to make new friends, live an honest life, and try to stay out of trouble in a city full of pigs—it’s called Pig City. Fans of the first season will be delighted to see their favorite characters return, including Red, Bomb, Chuck and Stella. Only this time, more piggies will join the bird’s ranks and even go head-to-head with her princess, the Pig Queen – a first in the Angry Birds series.
Angry Birds Bubble Trouble Season 2 is produced in partnership with Red Animation Studio, and they went out of their way to bring the world of Bubble Trouble to life. “This season is even more visually appealing than the first, a big thank you to Red Animation Studio,” said Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala, Head of Brand Licensing at Rovio. “The series was created in a mix of 2D and 3D, and the ‘Daydream’ sequence that Red Animation created partly in 2D is beautiful. Another special feature of the series is that one of the episodes featured our consumer products licensee Venum The actual product. This episode will showcase the latest range of Angry Birds boxing gear for kids. We are delighted to be able to incorporate this partnership into the series and encourage kids to be active and find positive outlets for their emotions.”
As their new adventure takes the flock into Pig City, Red Animation Studio will let audiences see this new scene through the eyes of our bird protagonists. Red Animation Studio CEO Milton Guerrero commented: “For Angry Birds Bubble Crisis Season 2, we created an entire city! Streets, parks, forests and castles, with vibrant colors and ‘painted’ finish textures. New character. Animation style snappy, 2 frames 3D, key poses and glitches created by 2D animators combining 2D animation and VFX.
Discover Pig City when Angry Birds Bubble Trouble Season 2 goes live on December 10th on the Angry Birds YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@AngryBirds. Further distribution will be handled by Rovio partner CAKE Entertainment. Embark on new adventures with the sheep in 28 one-and-a-half minute episodes!
