Qatar World Cup Opening Ceremony: Watch, live stream Korean pop star Jung Kook of BTS perform, show start time

It’s finally World Cup time. The biggest tournament in soccer is set to kick off with a bang Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup on Sunday, Nov. 20. But before Qatar and Ecuadorian to take the pitch, the start of the ceremony needs to begin. Not only do they show that the best 32 countries are participating in the tournament, but the opening ceremony will also have musical performances in particular from BTS member Jungkook. The popular boyband has confirmed that its member will be among the performers at the opening ceremony and will also feature in the film.

Originally scheduled to kick off on November 21, the opening ceremony was moved a day earlier so that the Qatari army could start the tournament, as is usual for the home nation, but the ceremony needed to be held at night for the planned parade. History will be made as not only will this be the first Winter World Cup, but Jungkook will also become the first Korean to open the World Cup at the World Cup.

Together with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi, Jungkook will perform the World Cup anthem “Dreamers.”

Who will do otherwise?

Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi will also perform the opening ceremony. She is also a producer, model and human rights activist as the organizers of ceremonies to put forward a message to strengthen the conversation about inclusion and diversity. Although, after FIFA president Gianni Infantino’s speech on Saturdaythat was easier said than done.

Atlanta-based rapper Lil Baby confirmed on Twitter that he will be performing at the World Cup, but he will be surprised by the biggest opening ceremony. Lil Baby won a Grammy for best melodic rap performance in 2022 for his feature on Hurricane by Kanye West and has also been honored with XXL awards, BET awards, and more. As the opening ceremony usually lasts 30 minutes or so, it will likely join the other seven acts of the program.

Declines and other performance reports

According to reports, Shakira, who has been a staple at past World Cups, was scheduled to perform, but decided to attend the opening ceremony. His song Waka Waka has a place in our memories from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Dua Lipa was also rumored to be dating, but she released a statement on Instagram.
