Following the company’s backlash against Kanye West, Gap announced it would be pulling the rapper’s Yeezy Gap line from its stores and shutting down YeezyGap.com. Additionally, Foot Locker is removing Yeezy products from shelves.

“The recent remarks and actions of our former partners further underscore why we are taking immediate steps to remove Yeezy Gap products from our stores,” the retailer said in a statement on Tuesday.

Over the past few weeks, retailers, social media platforms, celebrities and fashion and entertainment companies have broken away from business alliances with the West due to anti-Semitic rhetoric on podcasts and Twitter and other controversial behavior.

“In accordance with our values, any form of anti-Semitism, racism and hatred is inexcusable and intolerable. On behalf of our customers, employees and shareholders, we are working with organizations that fight hate and discrimination,” Gap announced.

Gap Inc. (GPS) and Kanye West both announced last month that they would end a 10-year partnership signed in 2020 with his fashion company Yeezy.

Yeezy Gap’s first piece was a $200 jacket that sold out online as soon as it was released. Some of the brand’s subsequent launches, including more jackets and hoodies, also sold out immediately.

West expanded his sold-out Yeezy Gap collection by bringing in luxury fashion giant Balenciaga for the “Yeezy Gap by Balenciaga” collection. In July, the collection went on sale for the first time at Gap stores.

In mid-September, West said he would end his partnership with Gap due to “serious breaches.” Balenciaga announced last week that it was cutting ties with Ye.

The rapper’s attorney, Nicholas Gravante, said in a statement in September that West “had no choice but to terminate the partnership” after he claimed the retailer violated their partnership by not going as planned. Opened branded Yeezy store and distributed his clothing, among other issues.

Gap confirmed on the same day that it had terminated its partnership with Yeezy. But it was initially said that existing merchandise would continue to be available in the company’s stores and on its website through the first half of 2023, but that decision has now been rescinded.
