In addition to the emotional toll, the breakup also took a toll on Richie’s finances, leading her to sell some of the Chanel handbags she’d amassed over her career.

“Certain traumas in life come with financial trauma, protracted court situations, guardianship situations, battling restraining orders,” she said. “Having said that, I’ve definitely done well, no issues. But I’ve learned to use these investments differently. I also have a Chanel Fine Jewelry collection, which I put to good use.”
