One of Hollywood’s most famous on-and-off couples has reunited for the first time in years.
Exes Sean Penn and Robin Wright were photographed traveling together at LAX over the weekend, less than a year after they divorced their respective partners.
In photos obtained exclusively by Page Six, Payne is seen wearing a black backpack, a casual beige T-shirt, cargo pants, a black jacket and winter boots.
The “Forrest Gump” star walked a step behind him, a black suitcase in hand and a white down jacket in his lap.
She looked chic in a black turtleneck with dark wash skinny jeans and brown boots.
The duo, who had not been seen in public for years, were married from 1996 until 2010.
Representatives for the former couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The outing comes just four months after Wright, 56, split from husband Clément Giraudet. The “House of Cards” star filed for divorce from Saint Laurent executives in September after four years of marriage.
According to documents obtained by TMZ at the time, she cited July 31 as the date of their separation, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.
The “Princess Bride” star also wrote that “all assets are his/her personal property” as stipulated in the postnuptial agreement.
The now-estranged couple said “I do” in France in August 2018, where they hosted a small, boho-themed reception.
Meanwhile, Payne finalized his split in early 2022 after Australian actress Leila George, 30, filed for divorce a year ago.
Penn and George, who is 32 years his junior and the daughters of Vincent D’Onofrio, dated for four years before secretly tying the knot in July 2020, days after Penn appeared on “With Seth Their “COVID-19 Wedding” Meyers was confirmed on Late Night of the Night. “
The “Risk Business” star, 62, later spoke about their failed wedding, explaining that he was the one to “end the marriage” because he only saw his then-wife “on a daily basis.” “
“We were technically married for a year, but for five years, I was a very negligent person,” Payne told Hollywood Authentic in April 2022.
“[I] Allowing myself to think my status is so important in so many other things, including me being completely depressed and forced to binge drink and sleeping pills at 11am, by watching the news, by watching the Trump era, watching it, just hopeless. “
Payne was married to Madonna from 1985 to 1989, shortly after he began dating Wright.
The “She’s So Lovely” co-stars welcomed their daughter Dylan in 1991 and their son Hopperjack in 1993, before she walked down the aisle in 1996.
“The marriage wasn’t easy, but it was great most of the time,” Payne told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. “I love Robin. I’ve always liked her.”
Payne’s nursing staff continued to soar, while Wright stagnated as she spent time raising her children at home.
“We learn as we go,” she told Vanity Fair in 2015.
“As parents, we agreed that we wouldn’t work at the same time so that one of us would be with the kids all the time. He was making more money than me at the time, so it was an easy decision: ‘You go to work— I’ll stay with the kids.’”
She added, “I turned down a lot of movies because I wanted to be a mum…they don’t offer it anymore.”
Wright first filed for divorce from Payne in 2007, but they quickly reconciled. The pair went through this process several times before finalizing their split in 2010.
